Hoogtij verkent de poëtische en transformerende kracht van water in kunst en mode.

Hoogtij duikt in de diepgaande rol van water, de zee en de oceaan in de verbeelding van modeontwerpers en hedendaagse kunstenaars, waarbij water wordt neergezet als een dynamische, generatieve kracht en een poëtische realiteit. Aan de hand van multisensorische installaties en werken van zowel gevestigde namen als opkomend talent, verkent de publicatie thema’s als vruchtbaarheid, wedergeboorte, dreiging, migratie en feministische perspectieven.

Van mythologische figuren als Venus en Narcissus tot hedendaagse reflecties op het klimaat, migratie en emotionele diepgang, de expo onthult hoe water onze bestemming spiegelt en tegelijkertijd kunst en mode met elkaar verbindt. Mode- en kunsticonen zoals Versace, Iris Van Herpen, Bill Viola en Dries Van Noten brengen deze oceanische visie tot leven. Met interviews met onder anderen BOTTER, Rinus Van de Velde, DI PETSA en Marine Serre.

High Tide explores the poetic and transformative power of water in art and fashion.

High Tide dives into the profound role of water, the sea, and the ocean in the creative imagination of fashion designers and contemporary artists, portraying water as a dynamic, generative force and poetic reality. Through multisensory installations and works by both established and emerging talents, it explores themes of fertility, rebirth, threat, migration, and feminist perspectives.

From mythological figures like Venus and Narcissus to contemporary reflections on climate, migration, and emotional depths, the exhibition reveals how water mirrors our destiny while connecting art and fashion.
