Marina Yee (1958–2025) built a quietly powerful artistic world all of her own. After graduating from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, she helped to reshape global fashion in the 1980s as part of the iconic Antwerp Six before stepping back from the spotlight. Decades later, she returned like a phoenix, with her new label, M.Y. Collection, captivating fashion lovers worldwide.
Working seamlessly across fashion and art, Yee crafted pieces from found materials, guided by intuition and an innate talent for creation. Her legacy resists trends, favouring simplicity and quiet expression. This book, curated by Rafael Adriaensens and Sofie Van de Velde, with words by MoMu’s Kaat Debo and Fondation Cartier’s Chris Dercon, gathers together four decades of art and design works, providing a rare window into the singular vision of an inspirational artistic soul.
